The Carmel Valley Recreation Basketball League established in 2000, is one of the largest and most popular youth basketball leagues in San Diego. We offer four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Based on demand, Boys teams are offered all four seasons, and Girls teams are offered in the Winter and Summer seasons. The grades 1-2 Coed is offered every season.

The City of Carlsbad Park and Recreation Department has partnered with Master Sports to provide this popular youth basketball league. The City of Carlsbad will take all registrations while Master Sports will provide the administrative duties to implement the league like skills evaluations, team formations, game and practice schedules, uniforms, awards, game officials, gym supervisors, coaches liasons and more. We look forward to implementing our twenty plus years of experience running some of the most successful youth basketball leagues in San Diego to the City of Carlsbad.

The Spring 2024 season will take place indoor for practices and games.

The Rancho Bernardo Recreational Youth Basketball league offers two seasons. Winter League (December through February) for boys and girls 1-2. In the summer (June - August) the league is offered for boys and girls grades 1-8. Games are played at the Rancho Bernardo Community Center Gym off West Bernardo Drive. Any divisions not large enough to offer their own all-Rancho Bernardo season will be combined with teams from Scripps Ranch, Rancho Penasquitos, and/or Carmel Mt. Ranch with some games being played at those gymnasiums.

The Rancho Penasquitos Recreational Youth Basketball league is offered during the Summer season only. In the summer (June - August) the league is offered for boys and girls grades 1st-8th. Games are played at the Canyonside Rec Center (may include other locations, depending on division makeup).

The Scripps Ranch Recreational Youth Basketball league offers two seasons. Winter League (December through February) for boys and girls K-2. In the summer (June - August) the league is offered for boys and girls grades K-8. Games are played at the Scripps Ranch Community Center gym, and in the summer teams from Scripps Ranch may be combined with teams from Carmel Mt. Ranch, Rancho Penasquitos, and/or Rancho Bernardo to make larger divisions as needed.

New for the 2024 Summer season, Master Sports is proud to present the Carmel Mountain Ranch Youth Basketball League! In partnership with Next Level Sports, the Master Sports basketball league will continue the exciting league experience that Next Level Sports has grown over the past several years. Players in grades 1st through 8th will be eligible to join the recreational league format which will be offered in both the winter and summer seasons. Master Sports brings over two decades of experience in the area in both youth basketball leagues, skills classes, and camps and is excited to offer our league platform to the Carmel Mountain Ranch community!
